Small Town Shenanigans: Inaugural Post
Post date: Jul 7, 2011 8:14:41 PM
As a side benefit to living in Excelsior Springs, I get to hear a lot of interesting things that our citizens do. A small portion of these events are memorialized each Friday in the local paper (The Excelsior Springs Standard) in their "Police Blotter" section. Although I don't think the blotter goes unnoticed, I do believe that certain entries deserve repeating due to their humorous content. With that in mind, I decided to start this recurring blog post where I reproduce a few of the entries for your enjoyment. I am hoping to make this a weekly thing, but that may not always work out. With that being said, I will try to do it when I have free time and I think that there is material worth mentioning. And, last but not least, I may from time to time reward the readers with some original art depicting one of the incidents. The first work of art (I don't use this term loosely) can be seen below.
Note: If any of my readers have the honor of being mentioned in one of the entries that I re-post, please feel free to contact me about your potential legal troubles...I may even give you a discount!
I hope you all enjoy reading these as much as I do!
